Anatolian Eagle 2011
The Türk Hava Kuvvetleri (THK) celebrated its first decade of prestigious joint fighter training at Konya air base under the name of Anatolian Eagle. Frank Noort and Melchior Timmers witnessed two days of flying at Konya.
Sri Lanka and India
In February 2011, I visited Sri Lanka on a trip with 4aviation.nl. This brought us to all the airbases of this beautiful country. A truly wonderful trip which included a nice bonus; a visit to the Aero India show at Yelahanka Air Force Station near Bangalore
Excercise Vega - Decimomannu
November 2010 - Vega, a combined Italian/Israeli exercise was held at Decimomannu Airbase, on the Italian island of Sardinia. A photo report can be found here.
Dutch Blaze
To exercise so called "Brown Out" landings and take-offs, the Dutch Air Force practises in desert conditions near Harderwijk in the Netherlands.
Saudi Eagles - Excercise Green Shield
In October the long-awaited Saudi/French exercise Green-Shield took place at the French airbase of Dijon., From the 1st until the 16th October 2009, 6 Saudi F-15 Eagles were welcomed in the east of France, a welcome event in Europe.

Japan 2008

In September 2008, I joined a group of aviation enthusiasts for a trip to Ireland and Nothern Ireland. We visited the two airbases on the Island: Baldonnel and Aldergrove
Bahrain Air Force - Excercise Initial Link
Exercise Initial Link 2008 was held from 11 until 22 may in that year. Although the exercise might be quite unknown in the western world, this was already the 20th anniversary of the cooperation between the Royal Bahraini Air Force and the United States Air Force
Alaska ANG Tanker Deployment at Geilenkirchen
For several years United States Air National Guard KC-135 Tankers have been deployed to Geilenkichen Airbase. Frank Noort and Arnold ten Pas were able to join a mission with the Alaska ANG taking off from Geilenkirchen to refuel two E-3 Sentry aircraft.
Albania and Macedonia
A trip through Albania and Macedonia, visiting all the airbases in both countries.
Oman Air Force, Masirah AB
in 2004, Marco Dijkshoorn and Frank Noort visited Masirah Airbase, located north on Masirah Island, Oman. An article was published in the Japanese Magazine "Airworld" as well as in Dutch magazine "Scramble".
Japan 2002
Japan could be the Promised Land for all aviation photographers. Arnold ten Pas, Maurice Hendriks and Fred van Horrik, Sean Wilson and Frank Noort decided in 2002 to make a tour through Japan, visiting most of the Air Force, Army and Naval aviation bases.
Jordan and Israel 2000
In the beginning of 2000, 15 fellow editorial members of Scramble Magazine decided to join each other on an exciting trip to the middle-east. Plans were made to visit Jordan in the beginning of may. After things were arranged with the Jordanian Air Force and the dates were finalized, we decided to join in on a tour through Israel as well.
Finland, trip to the Polar Circle
As this was the last year that the Finnish Drakens would be operational, this was the right time for a trip up north. Arnold ten Pas, Eugene van der Meer and Frank Noort took the car (..) for a little trip to the Arctic Circle.
Sweden
Sweden, famous for it wonderful SAAB aircraft designs, has always appealed to aviation enthusiasts worldwide. Also for Frank Noort, who was and still is especially fond of the Viggen and Draken. He made several trips to the north. Here some pictures from trips made in 1995 and 2001.
